About Me:  

Dr. Ujjwal Biswas is presently an Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, NIT Manipur. Prior to this, he was a faculty, Department of CSE, IIIT Bhagalpur.He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati,, India in January 2024. In IIT Guwahati, he was affiliated with the User-Centric Computing and Networking (UCNET) Lab.  He received his M.Tech. in the Department of CSE from NITTTR Kolkata, under MHRD Gov. India, in 2010 and graduated with a B.Tech. degree in IT, from BPPIMT (under W.B.U.T) in 2006. Before joining his Ph.D. July 2016, he worked as a software developer for about two years at the Govt. of West Bengal, WBAT, Bikash Bhawan, Kolkata-700091, for support and the project, supervised by the National Informatics Center (NIC), India, Vidyut Bhawan Kolkata. In addition, Dr. Biswas had about six years of teaching experience in three different colleges, including the Visiting Faculty of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur. He qualified for UGC NET three times in Computer Science and Applications in 2012, 2013, 2014, also West Bengal SET in 2015, and GATE 2008 with an all-India rank of 846. After graduation, he worked for two years as a senior software faculty trainer for C, C++, Java, VB, advanced Java, and internal projects.

Research Interest:  

Human-computer interaction (HCI), Learning technology, Machine learning, Artificial intelligence, Mobile HCI, and User-centric computing. 

Objective of my life:  

I wish to advance my profession, develop creative minds for academic success, and contribute to the scientific community in Computer Science and Engineering. My major objective is to encourage young scientific brains and guide them in making better use of their own strengths to create a value-based, sustainable society.

TA twoise for Computer Graphics, Design and Implementation of Human-Computer Interfaces, and User-Centric Design for Human-Computer Interaction from 1st January 2021 to 31st October 2023 during PhD.

[2010 – 2013] Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) Uluberia, Howrah, West Bengal, I joined as a lecturer and was promoted to assistant professor for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses.
